Cultural Fallacy

Concept Sensemaking Explanation

A cultural fallacy is a falsehood maintained by people and systems to protect power.

  • Framed as natural, neutral, or necessary— so that no one questions it
  • Used to distort signal— hiding truth, suppressing emergence, and maintaining control
  • Installed into individuals as belief— so the system no longer needs force; the person limits themselves
