We need a third attractor, in a game theory sense, vs Dystopia or Catastrophe: the two primary attractors for the world.
Vs existing attractors:
- Prevent catastrophe: coordinated power (international agreement process, for tragedy of commons and decentralised catastrophe weapons)
- Prevent dystopias: checks and balances on that power system above, so it’s not a corrupt system subject to the same kinds of game theory
Centralised emergent coordination across lots of decentralised capacities
- Collective intelligence systems (more information in the group)
- Not a top down singleton (dystopic)
- Or many actors stuck in catastrophic multi-polar traps
Make coherent choice-making, using best tech to factor total collective intelligence and total collective agency with speed and Coherence of a small number of agents, without any kind of centralised power.
